UAE Restores Full Air Traffic Operations Following Regional Airspace Disruptions

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed on Sunday the full resumption of air traffic across the UAE, following brief regional airspace closures. National carriers, including Emirates, Etihad Airways, and flydubai, have commenced the realignment of flight schedules to clear backlogs caused by the temporary suspension of services. Carrier Response and Rerouting Dubai-based Emirates cancelled several flights and rerouted others after multiple countries in the region, including Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq, closed their airspace late Saturday. A spokesperson for the airline stated that while operations are normalizing, passengers should expect residual delays throughout the next 24 hours. Etihad Airways followed suit, cancelling services to Tel Aviv and Amman on Sunday, citing the need for safety-first operational adjustments.
