Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park launches new framework to commercialise water, energy, and food security technologies.

Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) is accelerating the commercialisation of sustainability technologies through a new framework designed to move projects from laboratory testing to global markets. The initiative targets five critical sectors: water management, food security, clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and the circular economy. Accelerating Technology Transfer The innovation ecosystem in Sharjah currently hosts several high-profile pilot projects, including uSky Transport’s suspended transit system and experimental conductive concrete. The park is also housing 3D-printed residential structures to test additive manufacturing in construction and digital twin technologies developed by Maxbyte to automate industrial productivity through robotics and artificial intelligence. According to SRTI Park, the strategy aims to bridge the gap between academic research and commercial viability. By providing a testing ground for green hydrogen, precision agriculture, and smart desalination, the park allows startups to validate their technologies before seeking large-scale investment or government procurement contracts. Sharjah Next – Sustainability Summit The push for commercialisation comes ahead of the "Sharjah Next – Sustainability" event, scheduled to take place on 28 and 29 October, 2026, at SPARK.
