Sharjah closes Interchange 7 bridge for Etihad Rail construction work

Sharjah RTA closes the bridge at Interchange 7 on Al Dhaid Road to facilitate construction of the national railway network.
The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced the closure of a major interchange to accommodate construction work for the Etihad Rail project. The closure affects the bridge at Interchange No. 7 on Al Dhaid Road, a critical artery connecting Sharjah city with the central and eastern regions, as well as the emirate of Fujairah. Traffic diversions and network impact Alternative routes have been designated to manage traffic flow during the construction period. Motorists traveling toward Al Dhaid or the central regions are advised to use the bypass ramps at the interchange. The SRTA confirmed that the closure is necessary to facilitate the development of the national rail network, which will pass through this sector of Sharjah. Traffic police and RTA patrols will be deployed to monitor congestion and ensure the safety of road users.
