Sharjah Airport secured Level 3 Airport Customer Experience Accreditation from the Airports Council International (ACI) on Tuesday, 18 August, following a multi-year audit of its passenger service protocols. The certification confirms the airport’s ability to use traveler data to implement operational changes across its facilities. The facility first entered the ACI accreditation program with Level 1 status in 2022. It progressed to Level 2 in 2023 and maintained that standing through 2025 before meeting the more rigorous criteria for Level 3 this year. The evaluation assessed how the airport collects feedback, coordinates with third-party service providers, and manages the end-to-end journey from arrival to departure. Enhanced Data Collection and Response Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, stated that the Level 3 designation is based on the airport’s capacity to translate passenger feedback into tangible service improvements. To meet the new standard, the authority introduced tools to identify service gaps and reduced the time required for operational responses. The accreditation process required Sharjah Airport to integrate its customer satisfaction reporting across all internal departments.
