MoF, DIFC partner to develop next generation of financial leaders, advisers

The Ministry of Finance and DIFC Academy launch new certification programmes to train federal employees in AI-driven financial management.

The UAE Ministry of Finance (MoF) signed a strategic partnership agreement with DIFC Academy on Tuesday, 18 August, to launch two professional qualification tracks aimed at upskilling the nation's financial workforce. The agreement establishes the Certified Chief Finance Director Programme and the Certified Financial Consultant Programme. Targeting leadership and AI integration The partnership focuses on four core pillars: leadership development, artificial intelligence (AI), financial analysis and strategic planning, and financial advisory. According to the Ministry, the curriculum is designed to integrate AI assistants and automated processes into public financial management, allowing federal employees to use predictive forecasting and automated reporting in their daily operations. Younis Haji AlKhoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, and Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC Authority, signed the deal at the Ministry’s offices in Dubai. AlKhoori stated that the programmes are intended to build an "innovation-driven public financial ecosystem" while ensuring federal professionals keep pace with global regulatory and accounting developments. Expanding the UAE financial talent pool The DIFC Academy, which has provided business education for over two decades, aims to scale its reach significantly following this agreement.
