Abu Dhabi has solidified its role as the primary development hub for global mixed martial arts (MMA) as the IMMAF Youth World Championship continues at the Mubadala Arena. International coaches representing Brazil, England, Uzbekistan, and Lebanon confirmed on Thursday, 20 August, that the tournament now serves as the essential pipeline for identifying future professional talent. The event, supported by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, has drawn national delegations to Zayed Sports City to compete across multiple weight classes and age brackets. Coaches cited the technical diversity of the 2026 edition as a critical factor in athlete development, providing young fighters with exposure to varied disciplines including wrestling, striking, and grappling in a regulated professional environment.
