Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, condemned Israeli airstrikes targeting the Abu al-Duhur Military Airbase in Syria’s Idlib Governorate on Thursday, 20 August. The Cairo-based organization described the operation as a violation of Syrian sovereignty and a breach of international law. Violation of International Law In a formal statement issued from Cairo on Thursday, 20 August, Fahmy characterized the raids as provocative and unjustified.
