The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) opened the third edition of the 'Make it in the Emirates' forum in Abu Dhabi on Monday, marking the largest gathering to date for the country’s manufacturing sector. The event serves as the primary platform for announcing major industrial procurement opportunities and investment incentives designed to localize supply chains. Industrial investment and procurement The forum brought together senior government officials, global investors, and regional industrial leaders to facilitate deals aimed at increasing the industrial sector's contribution to the national GDP. Central to the discussions are multi-billion dirham procurement pipelines from major national entities, including ADNOC and PureHealth, which have previously committed to sourcing thousands of products locally. Participants are focusing on sectors such as petrochemicals, metal fabrication, and advanced technology.
