Zayed International Airport records an 18.2% surge in Q3 traffic, handling 6.77 million passengers as Terminal A operations scale up.

Zayed International Airport now processes more than 93,000 passengers daily, following an 18.2% increase in traffic during the third quarter of 2024. Official data from Abu Dhabi Airports confirms the facility welcomed 6.77 million passengers between July and September, driven by expanded airline networks and increased flight frequencies. The airport recorded 44,541 flight movements during this period, representing a 14.5% rise compared to the third quarter of 2023. This growth coincides with the first full year of operations at the airport’s new Terminal A, which has significantly increased the hub's annual capacity to 45 million passengers. The surge in volume is supported by a fleet of 27 airlines connecting Abu Dhabi to 127 international destinations. Top Destinations and Regional Growth London maintained its position as the top destination for travelers using Zayed International Airport. Other high-performing routes included Mumbai, Kochi, Doha, and Delhi. The expansion of point-to-point traffic and transit operations has bolstered Abu Dhabi’s status as a central link between European, Asian, and regional Middle Eastern markets.
