Emirati rider Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi secured 13th place in the Individual Final of the FEI Jumping World Championship in Aachen on Tuesday, 25 August, marking a career-high performance at the global event. Competing against a field of 146 athletes from 51 nations, the 23-year-old was the youngest rider to qualify for the final day of competition. Riding his horse, Enjoy de la Mure, Al Marzooqi entered the final round as one of only 25 remaining combinations. Starting in 15th position for the Individual Final, he narrowly missed the top-12 cut required to advance to the second round after a single fault at the final fence. Despite the penalty, his 13th-place finish placed him ahead of several of the world's most experienced horse and rider pairings. Rising global rankings The result in Germany follows a period of rapid ascent for the Emirati athlete. As of August 2026, Al Marzooqi is ranked 87th in the Longines Rankings and occupies the sixth spot in the FEI Jumping U25 Ranking. His performance in Aachen follows a 19th-place finish at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and previous medals at the Asian Games and Youth Olympic Games.
