GENEVA / DOHA - In a major initiative to address structural disparities in international capital allocation and mobilize financing for sustainable development, UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has officially announced that it will convene the ninth edition of the World Investment Forum (WIF). Held in strategic partnership with the State of Qatar, the global gathering will take place in Doha from October 25 to 27, 2026, bringing together heads of state, sovereign wealth managers, international financial executives, and policy architects during a period marked by heightened geopolitical realignments, supply chain restructuring, and rapid technological transformation.
