One man has died and 15 people have been hospitalized following a collision between two trains on the Cambrian line in Wales.

One person has died and 15 others were transported to hospitals following a low-speed collision between two trains in mid-Wales on Monday evening. The incident, involving two Transport for Wales services, occurred near Talerddig in Powys, prompting a massive response from emergency services and the closure of the Cambrian line. Emergency Response and Casualties The collision took place at approximately 19:30 GMT on October 21. British Transport Police confirmed that while 15 individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The deceased, a man whose identity has not yet been released, was a passenger on one of the services. All other passengers were successfully evacuated from the site by 23:00. The emergency operation involved the Welsh Ambulance Service, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, and the Coastguard, who deployed helicopters to assist with the extraction of passengers from the rural location.
