UAE weather alerts warn of rain and fog through Friday

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a weather alert on Tuesday, 1 September, forecasting rain, fog, and blowing dust across several emirates as convective clouds develop over eastern regions through the end of the week. Temperature drops and rainfall zones Temperatures are expected to ease slightly this week following a period of intense heat. According to the NCM, Dubai will see a high of 43°C and a low of 31°C on Tuesday, while Abu Dhabi is forecast to reach 41°C. The highest temperatures in the country are expected in Liwa at 45°C and Al Ain at 44°C. Convective clouds, which often bring rainfall, are expected to form over eastern areas during the afternoon hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This unsettled pattern is triggered by seasonal atmospheric pressure systems affecting the eastern topography of the UAE. Fog and maritime warnings Humidity levels will rise on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, creating conditions for fog or mist over coastal and inland areas. The NCM warned that visibility may be reduced during the early morning hours. Winds are forecast to remain light to moderate but will strengthen to 40 km/h at times, particularly over western waters. The Arabian Gulf is expected to become rough in western sections by Wednesday, while freshening winds will likely stir up dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility for motorists on inland roads.
