The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert as a low-pressure system is expected to bring rain-bearing clouds to the UAE this week. Meteorological charts indicate an increase in cloud cover starting Monday, with convective clouds likely to trigger rainfall across northern, eastern, and some coastal regions. Rainfall and Temperature Shifts According to the NCM weekly bulletin, the unsettled weather is driven by an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the southwest, accompanied by an upper-air low-pressure extension. This atmospheric setup will result in intermittent rain of varying intensities. Localized heavy showers are anticipated particularly in the mountainous regions of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah as clouds move inland from the Oman Sea. Temperatures are expected to fluctuate throughout the week. Daytime highs in internal areas will range between 22°C and 26°C, while coastal regions will see averages of 21°C to 24°C. Overnight temperatures may drop to 10°C in mountainous areas, requiring residents to prepare for cooler conditions.
