National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasters expect temperatures to reach 47°C in internal areas of the UAE today, even as convective clouds threaten rainfall in eastern and southern regions. The mercury will peak between 43°C and 47°C in interior zones, while coastal areas and islands will see highs ranging from 39°C to 44°C. Convective clouds and humidity surge The NCM issued a weather bulletin on Wednesday morning confirming that humidity levels will climb significantly overnight. Humidity is projected to hit 85% in coastal regions and 80% in internal areas by Thursday morning, increasing the likelihood of mist and fog formation over some coastal and internal sectors. Light to moderate winds, occasionally freshening, will reach speeds of 40 km/h, potentially causing blowing dust and sand that may reduce horizontal visibility.
