Emirates Transport has deployed a fleet of 10,000 school buses across the UAE to facilitate student transport for the 2026–2027 academic year. The fleet has been outfitted with updated safety and security systems ahead of the new term beginning in late August. Staff Training and Safety Standards The state-owned transport provider confirmed that 10,000 drivers and 10,000 safety supervisors have completed a comprehensive training programme. The curriculum focused on emergency response, student safety protocols, and operational compliance to manage the daily transport of thousands of pupils nationwide. Sulaiman Jassem Al Hammadi, Head of School Transport Operations at Emirates Transport, stated on Tuesday, 18 August, that field monitoring teams will maintain oversight of all operations. These teams are tasked with ensuring drivers and supervisors adhere to the updated operational manuals during the morning and afternoon school runs. Inter-Agency Coordination The readiness announcement follows a collaborative initiative involving the Ministry of Education, the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), and local school administrations. This coordination aims to streamline routes and reduce transit times for students while maintaining strict safety standards under the national campaign slogan, "Our Students Are a Trust… Their Safety Is Our Priority."
