UAE riders secure 19th in Aachen as Omar Al Marzooqi advances individually

The UAE Show Jumping Team placed 19th overall as Omar Al Marzooqi qualified for Friday's individual rounds in Germany.
UAE show jumpers delivered four consistent performances at the FEI Jumping World Championship in Aachen on Thursday, 20 August, with every team member completing the technical 1.65m track with only a single fence down. Omar Al Marzooqi Advances to Qualifier Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi, the 23-year-old 2024 Longines FEI Rising Star, secured his progression to the individual competition phase. Riding Enjoy de la Mure, Al Marzooqi entered the second day in 10th place individually following a clear round on Wednesday. Despite an early rail resulting in four faults on Thursday, the pair qualified for the Second Individual Qualifier scheduled for Friday, 21 August, at 18:50 CEST. German course designer Frank Rothenberger presented a demanding track featuring 13 fences and 16 jumping efforts. Al Marzooqi described the four-fault result as an "unlucky rail" but noted the horse remained in strong form ahead of the evening session under floodlights. Team Concludes Campaign in 19th Place Sheikha Latifah bint Ahmed bin Juma Al Maktoum, a 2008 Beijing Olympian, mirrored the four-fault performance aboard the 10-year-old Coronet XL. Although the pair lost balance mid-round, they successfully navigated the remainder of the 1.65m efforts to contribute to the team tally.
