The UAE has declared that no single regional or international power can exert dominance over the Strait of Hormuz, categorizing the waterway as a vital international corridor for global energy and trade. Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, stated that the security of such maritime passages is governed by international law and collective economic interests rather than the strategic whims of individual states.
