UAE Petrol Prices Jump 8% to Dh3.95 in June — Highest Level in Nearly Four Years

The UAE Fuel Price Committee has announced another increase in petrol prices for June 2026, pushing Super 98 to Dh3.95 per litre, the highest level in almost four years and extending a sharp upward trend.

For thousands of motorists across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the rest of the UAE, June has begun with higher fuel costs as the UAE Fuel Price Committee announced retail prices for petrol and diesel for June 2026. Under the new rates effective from June 1, Super 98 petrol costs Dh3.95 per litre, up from Dh3.66 in May, marking an increase of 29 fils or 7.92 percent. Special 95 petrol has increased to Dh3.83 per litre from Dh3.55, while E-Plus 91 now stands at Dh3.76 per litre compared with Dh3.48 last month, representing increases of 28 fils or approximately 7.89 percent and 8.04 percent respectively. Diesel, however, has fallen to Dh4.33 per litre from Dh4.69, a decrease of 36 fils or 7.68 percent. The latest adjustment means petrol prices have now risen for four consecutive months, extending the sharp upward trend that has been building for months as global oil rates rally. Petrol rates have been hiked for the past three consecutive months due to a rally in global oil rates, rising nearly 50 percent between February and May 2026.
