The UAE’s drive toward net-zero emissions is projected to generate 200,000 job opportunities, with 50,000 green roles expected to be created by 2030, according to data from TAQA Transmission. The company has implemented three specific pathways under its ETLAQ initiative to bridge the gap between academic theory and operational execution. \n\n The ETLAQ Graduate Programme provides a 12-month technical exposure track, while the ETLAQ Technician Programme, supported by the Department of Energy (DoE), focuses on operational skills. A third branch, the ETLAQ Frontliners Programme, was introduced in 2025 to fast-track candidates into critical frontline roles.
