The UAE National Orchestra has concluded its inaugural performance season, establishing a permanent symphonic ensemble designed to integrate traditional Arabic musical scales with Western classical structures. The ensemble, formed to represent the nation’s cultural identity, completed a series of performances across major venues in Abu Dhabi, including Manarat Al Saadiyat. Integration of Arabic Maqam and Western Composition The debut season focused on the technical fusion of the Arabic maqam system with the tempered tuning of a standard Western orchestra.
