National Guard Commander visits Jordanian Gendarmerie, Civil Defence

Major General Saleh bin Mejren Al Ameri reviewed operational drills and equipment during an official security inspection in Jordan.

Major General Staff Saleh Mohammed bin Mejren Al Ameri, Commander of the UAE National Guard, conducted a formal inspection of Jordan’s Gendarmerie and Civil Defence forces on Friday, 28 August, to assess joint operational readiness and security coordination. The visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan focused on evaluating specialized equipment, emergency response protocols, and advanced training programmes within Jordan's Public Security Directorate (PSD). Operational Drills and Equipment Review During the visit, which took place in the presence of PSD Director Major General Obeidallah Maaytah, the UAE delegation attended field demonstrations involving multiple security scenarios and practical exercises. Al Ameri reviewed the specific mandates of the Jordanian Gendarmerie and Civil Defence, focusing on their capacity for rapid response and the technical specifications of their current hardware.
