The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has authorized the use of Tyvaso DP (treprostinil) inhalation powder, a treatment for pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD). The decision makes the UAE the first nation in the Middle East and North Africa to provide this specific medical intervention for patients suffering from this form of pulmonary fibrosis. Tyvaso DP, developed by United Therapeutics, is a dry powder inhaler designed to improve exercise capacity in patients with PH-ILD. This condition involves scarring of the lung tissue, which restricts oxygen flow and increases pressure in the pulmonary arteries.
