ABU DHABI — The UAE Ministry of Education has officially unveiled an updated regulatory framework governing student transitions between general, advanced, and applied academic tracks in public and private schools following the national curriculum. Designed to elevate educational outcomes and safeguard academic continuity, the newly enacted directives establish rigorous eligibility benchmarks based on grade levels, standardized subject scores, and specialized prerequisite coursework. Under the comprehensive directives enacted for the academic cycle, student transfers between distinct educational pathways are permitted exclusively at the commencement of the academic calendar. To preserve curriculum stability and prevent instructional disruption, the Ministry has established a firm two-week deadline from the official start of classes, after which no mid-year track modifications will be sanctioned. The framework introduces clearly demarcated performance thresholds for students seeking upward mobility from the General Track into the Advanced Track.
