The UAE Ministry of Education has revoked the operating license and seized financial guarantees of an Ajman university following regulatory violations.
The UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) has revoked the operating license and confiscated the financial guarantees of a private university in Ajman, less than two years after the institution rebranded and relocated from Sharjah. The decision follows a regulatory review that identified failure to comply with established academic and administrative standards. Regulatory Violations and Closure The institution, which previously operated as a popular college in Sharjah for several years, underwent a rebranding exercise last year before moving its campus to Ajman. According to official notification from the Ministry, the revocation was triggered by the university's inability to meet federal accreditation requirements and licensing conditions. The MoE has also stopped the university from enrolling new students or continuing existing programs. The ministry confirmed that the seizure of financial guarantees is a standard enforcement procedure designed to protect the rights of registered students.
