UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a cable of condolences to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, following the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the state news agency WAM reported on Monday. Similar messages of sympathy were dispatched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The correspondence was directed to the Qatari Emir to express the UAE leadership’s sympathies with the Al Thani royal family.
