The UAE has introduced the 'Young Entrepreneurs' business setup programme, a new initiative designed to provide licensing and operational support to start-up founders under the age of 35. The programme offers a structured path for early-stage companies to formalise their operations through reduced administrative fees and streamlined registration processes across the emirates. Startup Support and Licensing The scheme specifically targets founders between the ages of 18 and 35, offering access to 100% foreign ownership for eligible commercial activities. Key components of the programme include mentored business planning, assistance with local banking procedures, and access to co-working spaces. By lowering the initial capital requirements for entry, the initiative aims to increase the volume of SMEs contributing to the national non-oil GDP. Strategic Implementation Participants in the programme will receive technical assistance for VAT registration and corporate tax compliance.
