UAE launches September business season as events sector targets Dh55.6bn revenue

The UAE is preparing to host a series of high-profile exhibitions and summits starting on Monday, 24 August, signaling the end of the summer lull and a surge in the country’s multi-billion dirham business tourism sector. The upcoming calendar spans energy, defense, technology, and literature, with events scheduled across major venues in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Abu Dhabi leads with heritage and defense The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) begins on 31 August and runs until 8 September, focusing on falconry and Emirati heritage at the ADNEC Centre. This will be followed by the Ajban Exhibition for Defence Industry and Technology on 21 and 22 September, a specialized platform for the military hardware sector. Cultural events in the capital include the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair from 13 to 18 September and the Sheikh Zayed Book Award ceremony on 16 September. On the international policy front, Abu Dhabi will host the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice from 26 September to 1 October.
