UAE Launches National Shipbuilding Consortium to Centralize Marine Industry

The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) has launched the National Shipbuilding Consortium, a strategic initiative designed to unify the nation’s maritime manufacturing and repair sectors. The program aims to increase the maritime industry's contribution to the national economy, which currently accounts for approximately AED 90 billion annually. Consolidating Maritime Operations The consortium brings together major local entities, including ADSB, Albwardy Damen, and Grandweld Shipyards.
