Several regulatory changes take effect across the UAE this June, including the enforcement of the annual midday work prohibition and the confirmed public holiday schedule for Eid Al Adha. These mandates impact labor operations, transport infrastructure, and residency requirements. Labor Regulations and Public Holidays The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has implemented the annual Midday Break starting June 15. The policy prohibits outdoor labor under direct sunlight between 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM daily. This restriction remains in place until September 15. Companies violating the ban face administrative fines of AED 5,000 per worker, with a maximum penalty of AED 50,000 for multiple violations. Public and private sector employees will observe a multi-day break for Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha. Based on astronomical calculations, the holiday is expected to run from Sunday, June 16, to Tuesday, June 18.
