Health authorities have identified heat stroke as a critical medical emergency that requires rapid intervention to prevent long-term organ damage or neurological complications. Identifying Critical Symptoms Heat stroke occurs when the body’s internal temperature rises to 40°C (104°F) or higher, often due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures and physical exertion. Key indicators include a core body temperature above 40°C, altered mental state or behavior, nausea, and a rapid pulse. Unlike heat exhaustion, heat stroke may cause the skin to feel hot and dry to the touch as the body loses its ability to sweat. Medical experts state that if an individual exhibits these symptoms, they must be moved to a shaded or air-conditioned area immediately.
