The United Arab Emirates has suspended the issuance of new entry visas for nationals from three African countries as a precautionary measure against the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). The directive aims to prevent the transmission of the virus within the UAE following reports of localized outbreaks in West Africa. Scope of Travel Restrictions The suspension applies specifically to new entry permits for citizens of Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. According to federal guidelines, the temporary freeze does not impact individuals already holding valid UAE residency visas or those currently residing in the country. Transit passengers arriving from these nations may still be permitted to pass through UAE international airports, provided they undergo mandatory health screenings and adhere to protocols established by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).
