The Emirates Franchise Association (EFA) concluded its role as Franchise Enabling Partner at the Future Food Forum 2026 on Sunday, 4 October, projecting the UAE food and beverage market to reach $44 billion by 2029. The association identified franchising as the primary vehicle for domestic brands to scale operations into regional and international markets. This growth is being driven by the country’s status as a logistics hub and an increasing focus on sustainable manufacturing. The EFA hosted a dedicated Franchise Group Meeting during the event, bringing together manufacturers, retailers, and investors to formalise expansion frameworks for homegrown brands. Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Chairman of the Emirates Franchise Association and Director General at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that the next phase of the UAE’s economic journey depends on the ability to scale homegrown enterprises internationally.
