UAE residents will receive a four-day weekend from December 2 to 3 to mark the 53rd National Day, officially rebranded as Eid al-Etihad.

The UAE Cabinet has confirmed the public holiday dates for the 53rd National Day, providing a four-day weekend for public and private sector employees. The holidays will fall on Monday, December 2, and Tuesday, December 3, creating an extended break when combined with the preceding Saturday and Sunday. Official Dates and Weekend Structure According to the official 2024 holiday calendar approved by the UAE Cabinet, the National Day break applies to all federal government and private sector workers. The holiday sequence begins on Saturday, November 30, and continues through Tuesday, December 3. Normal work operations are scheduled to resume on Wednesday, December 4. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) typically issues a formal circular closer to the date to confirm the application of these dates for the private sector.
