UAE Chess Federation deploys Emirati arbiters to Stockholm Summer Open 2027

The UAE Chess Federation signed a cooperation agreement on Thursday, 27 August with the organisers of the 2027 Stockholm Summer Open to deploy Emirati arbiters to the international tournament. The partnership enables local officials to manage matches at one of Europe’s established chess events, marking a step in the federation’s strategy to increase its presence in global officiating. International Officiating Standards The agreement focuses on technical exchange and professional development for UAE-based arbiters. According to the federation, the primary goal is to equip local officials with the practical skills required to navigate evolving international chess regulations and match management standards.
