The UAE Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) confirmed on Tuesday, 18 August, that national air defence systems intercepted and destroyed multiple missile threats directed towards the country. Authorities issued a nationwide mobile alert following the interceptions, reassuring the public that the situation is now safe and normal activities may resume. Interception and Public Response Residents across several emirates, including Dubai, reported hearing unusual sounds as the air defence systems engaged the incoming threats.
