A 27-year-old woman in the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu died from excessive blood loss after attempting a home birth guided by YouTube tutorials. The incident has prompted a police investigation into the family’s decision to bypass professional medical assistance. Fatal Complications During Delivery The deceased, identified as Loganayagi, went into labor at her residence where her husband, Madesh, and other family members reportedly attempted to facilitate the delivery. Local authorities stated that the group relied on instructional videos from social media platforms to manage the birth. While the infant survived the procedure, the mother suffered a severe postpartum hemorrhage that led to her death before she could reach a hospital. Medical officials at the local primary health center confirmed that the victim was brought to the facility in a critical state after the family failed to control the bleeding.
