Sudan and the UAE traded sharp accusations at the UN Security Council over alleged interference in the ongoing civil war.

Sudan’s representative to the United Nations and the UAE’s permanent representative exchanged sharp accusations at the UN Security Council on Tuesday regarding alleged external involvement in the Sudanese civil war. The diplomatic confrontation occurred as the council met to discuss the escalating humanitarian crisis and the siege of El Fasher. Dispute over military support Sudan’s UN envoy, Al-Harith Idriss al-Harith, formally accused the UAE of providing military equipment and financial support to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
