Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), addressed the nation on Friday, 28 August, to mark Emirati Women’s Day 2026. She stated that the individual ambitions of Emirati women are inextricably linked to the UAE’s broader national development goals. Intergenerational Progress and Leadership Reflecting on the 2026 theme, "We Emerge Stronger and Better," Sheikha Bodour noted that the advancement of women in the UAE is the result of cumulative efforts across multiple generations.
