More than 50,000 people gathered at Expo City Dubai for the 'Emirates Loves Palestine' event, marking the largest global assembly of the community.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, joined more than 50,000 attendees at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai, on Saturday, 29 August, for the inaugural "Emirates Loves Palestine" community event. The gathering, described as the largest assembly of the Palestinian community globally, was organised to celebrate Palestinian heritage and recognise the community’s contributions to the UAE’s development. Largest Global Palestinian Gathering Organised by the "Emirates Loves Palestine" platform in partnership with the UAE-Palestinian Friendship Club and the Palestinian Business Council, the event drew a diverse crowd of Palestinian and Emirati citizens alongside UAE residents. Sheikh Nahyan stated that the gathering reflects the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian support, noting that the nation has emerged as the largest donor of aid to the Gaza Strip during the current crisis. The event coincided with a parallel celebration titled "Palestine Loves the UAE" held in the Gaza Strip, facilitated by the UAE’s "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3" humanitarian mission. A live broadcast connected the Dubai audience with Palestinians in Gaza, highlighting the humanitarian and diplomatic ties between the two regions.
