President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed issues a decree to integrate education, R&D, and industry under a new national committee.

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a decision on Sunday, 30 August to establish the National Program for Advanced Sciences and Technologies. The initiative creates a unified framework to link the country’s education and research sectors directly with the requirements of strategic industrial sectors and advanced technology fields. Governance and Leadership The program will be governed by a Higher Committee chaired by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, will serve as Deputy Chairman. The committee includes a cabinet-level delegation including Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, who will also chair a newly formed Executive Committee. This Executive Committee is tasked with the operational approval of policies, initiatives, and technical research plans.
