Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan consolidates leadership over Abu Dhabi’s sovereign entities to drive the emirate’s post-oil transition.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, is directing the emirate’s strategic shift toward a diversified economy through his leadership of key sovereign entities. Since his appointment as Crown Prince on March 29, 2023, he has consolidated oversight of Abu Dhabi’s administrative and economic development via the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. Oversight of Sovereign Energy and Finance Sheikh Khaled serves as a member of the board of directors for the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). He also chairs the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of ADNOC. These roles place him at the center of the UAE’s energy transition and the management of one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds.
