Emirati women invested Dh2.7 billion in Sharjah’s real estate market during the first eight months of 2026, marking a 1.2 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. Official data released on Thursday, 27 August, indicates that 3,737 female Emirati investors participated in the market between January and August, up from 3,586 in 2025. Transaction Volume and Growth The statistical report from the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department shows that Emirati women traded 3,385 properties during this period. This represents a 1.9 per cent rise in property volume compared to the 3,322 units recorded in the first eight months of 2025. The total investment value climbed from Dh2.6 billion to Dh2.7 billion year-on-year. The release of these figures coincides with Emirati Women’s Day on Thursday, 27 August, a national occasion that tracks the economic participation of female citizens across various sectors. The data highlights a sustained upward trend in female-led capital deployment within the emirate’s residential and commercial property segments. Regulatory Environment and Strategy Amal Obaid Hadid, Head of the Media Section at the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, attributed the growth to the National Strategy for Empowerment of Emirati Women (2023–2031).
