A Sharjah court sentenced an employee to prison and deportation after he punched his manager, causing a 1% permanent disability in his eye.

The Sharjah Criminal Court has sentenced an Asian worker to one month in prison followed by deportation for physically assaulting his manager. The incident occurred after the manager rejected the worker’s request for a salary increase. In addition to the jail term, the court imposed a fine of AED 5,000 on the defendant. Assault Leads to Permanent Disability According to court records, the victim, an Asian national serving as a general manager, was attacked inside his office. The defendant entered the premises to demand a pay rise; however, upon receiving a refusal, he punched the manager in the face. Medical reports submitted to the court confirmed that the blow caused a 1% permanent disability in the manager’s left eye.
