Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, confirmed it will take delivery of 12 new aircraft in 2026. The scheduled arrivals form part of a massive fleet modernization program aimed at increasing seat capacity and expanding the airline’s international flight network. Fleet Expansion and Procurement The 2026 deliveries are a component of the record-breaking deal signed in May 2024, when the Saudia Group ordered 105 aircraft from Airbus. That agreement includes a mix of A320neo and A321neo models, designed to replace older narrow-body jets and increase frequency on short and medium-haul routes. This specific batch of 12 planes will follow initial deliveries slated to begin in early 2025. The airline is currently managing one of the largest transformation projects in regional aviation history. By the end of the decade, Saudia aims to operate a total of 330 aircraft.
