Qatar Tourism targets regional visitors by highlighting record-breaking attractions including the 85-meter Icon Tower and Hilton Salwa’s Desert Falls.
Qatar Tourism has launched a regional campaign targeting families across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), positioning the country’s expanding leisure infrastructure as a primary destination for summer and holiday travel. The initiative focuses on high-capacity attractions, including the Meryal Waterpark and the Desert Falls Water and Adventure Park, to increase visitor numbers from neighboring states. Record-Breaking Infrastructure at Meryal Central to the promotion is Meryal Waterpark, located on Qetaifan Island North. Spanning 160,000 square meters, the facility features the Icon Tower, which stands at 85 meters. The tower holds the record for the world’s tallest water slide tower and houses 36 individual slides. The park is designed to accommodate large crowds, offering 53 rides and attractions total, including a beachfront area and various dining outlets. The campaign also highlights the Desert Falls Water and Adventure Park, situated within the Hilton Salwa Beach Resort near the Abu Samra border.
