Politt and Cosnefroy to lead UAE Team Emirates-XRG in five-day British tour

UAE Team Emirates-XRG has announced a six-rider squad for the 22nd Lloyds Tour of Britain, starting on Wednesday, 2 September. The five-day stage race begins in Lincoln and concludes in Earlston, Scotland, on Sunday, 6 September, covering territory across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and the Scottish Borders. The roster features Mikkel Bjerg, Benoît Cosnefroy, Felix Großschartner, Nils Politt, Florian Vermeersch, and Tim Wellens. Sports Directors Fabrizio Guidi and Aner Moreno will lead the technical operations for the team as they return to the British race for the second consecutive year. Tactical focus and stage breakdown The race itinerary includes finishes in Skegness, Beverley, and Leyburn. While stages 2 and 3 are anticipated to favour sprinters, the remaining parcours offers terrain suited for puncheurs. Nils Politt enters the race as the team’s most seasoned rider in this specific event, marking his sixth appearance in Britain. Benoît Cosnefroy is expected to lead the team's efforts on the punchier climbs.
