Philippine police prevented a potential mass shooting at a senior high school in Leyte province on Monday after intercepting an 18-year-old suspect who posted violent threats on Facebook. The intervention by law enforcement in Ormoc City followed an alert regarding a social media post that detailed plans for a campus attack. The suspect, a Grade 11 student whose identity has been withheld due to legal procedures, was apprehended by the Ormoc City Police Office (OCPO) shortly after the post began circulating.
