Parkin and Amakin partner to launch UAE-Bahrain digital parking payments

Parkin and Amakin will integrate digital platforms to allow seamless cross-border parking payments between the UAE and Bahrain.
Parkin Company PJSC and Bahrain Car Parks Company (Amakin) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday, 24 August, to integrate digital parking systems and explore joint expansion across the GCC. The agreement marks Parkin’s first major technological partnership in Bahrain, aimed at linking the mobile applications of both providers to allow cross-border parking payments. Cross-border digital integration Under the terms of the agreement, the two entities will evaluate the feasibility of platform integration, enabling UAE and Bahraini motorists to pay for parking in either country through their existing home-market apps. The collaboration also covers the analysis of mobility data to identify regional usage trends and the development of new data-driven infrastructure solutions. Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, stated that the partnership allows the Dubai-based provider to apply its operational expertise outside of the emirate. The framework also permits both companies to bid for joint business opportunities in selected international markets beyond the Gulf region. Impact on GCC mobility The move follows Parkin’s recent focus on digital transformation within Dubai’s transport ecosystem.
