The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has launched a high-performance training camp at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore as the women’s national team prepares for the DP World Women’s Asia Cup, scheduled to take place in the UAE from August 28 to September 13. The training sessions began on Monday, 17 August and will continue until August 25. Fatima Sana to lead 15-member squad The PCB confirmed a 15-member squad for the tournament, appointing all-rounder Fatima Sana as captain. The squad includes key players such as Muneeba Ali Siddiqui, Nashra Sundhu, and Sadia Iqbal. The tournament will be hosted at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, featuring eight teams divided into two groups. Pakistan is placed in Group A alongside defending champions India, Thailand, and Hong Kong-China. Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and the UAE. Pakistan will open their campaign against Thailand on September 1, followed by a highly anticipated clash against India on September 5. Their final group match against Hong Kong-China is set for September 7.
